Penang Adventist Hospital (PAH), one of Malaysia’s most esteemed institutions, has partnered strategically with Firefly Airlines to promote medical tourism. A formal signing ceremony to establish their collaboration was held on February 17, 2023, at Aryaduta Medan.

The partnership aims to provide Indonesian travellers with greater opportunities to visit Penang while obtaining medical care. The cooperation also seeks to bring in medical tourists from other countries to get top-notch medical treatment in Penang, according to Ronald Koh Wah Heng, president and CEO of Penang Adventist Hospital.

Firefly’s new route between Medan and Penang had its debut flight, which Wah Heng and Captain Hamdan Che Ismail, COO of Firefly, attended. This new direct aircraft route will give Indonesian visitors travelling to Penang more opportunities. Firefly passengers travelling from Medan and Banda Aceh to Penang can use specialized health screening packages at discounted prices from PAH.

Wah Heng expressed his excitement over the partnership, stating that it is an excellent opportunity for Penang Adventist Hospital to collaborate with different industries in the country and introduce Adventist healthcare and lifestyle to business partners and tourists.
