After a hiatus since 2017, the Miss Chinese World Grand Final is making a comeback, with 17 finalists from four countries competing for the crown. This highly anticipated event will take place at Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on May 20th, 2023.
Miss Chinese World Pageant brings together Chinese beauties from the respective cities of their countries. This year, with the theme “The Beauty of Heart, The World of Wisdom”, the Miss Chinese World pageant is set to be one of the grandest Chinese pageants to be promoted worldwide.
The Miss Chinese World Pageant was started in 2005, with 32 delegates representing their cities and provinces from 13 countries.
Sunisa Pasuk from Bangkok, Thailand won the 1st coveted Title of Miss Chinese World 2005 International. The 1st Runner Up was Li Yen Chin from Taichung, Taiwan, while Chen Shuai of Hangzhou China was 2nd Runner Up.
In 2017, Yin Zhuo Qun from Shanghai, China won the Miss Chinese World 2017 title. The 1st Runner Up was won by Chang Yu Chin of Taipei, Taiwan and the 2nd Runner Up was won by Dai Tian of Qingdao, China.
Preserving Chinese culture and tradition
The Miss Chinese World Pageant goes beyond beauty and Chinese ancestry. It is a platform that celebrates Chinese culture and tradition while emphasizing the values that are important to the Chinese community.
With a rich history dating back thousands of years, the pageant aims to reconnect with the roots of the Chinese community and spread the beauty and rich history of Chinese culture, heritage and traditions universally.
Miss Chinese World was founded by Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi from Malaysia and is organised with the aim of gathering young Chinese Beauties from around the globe in the celebration and remembrance of Chinese culture, values and traditions. It is also a platform to promote peace, goodwill and friendship among the participants.
The Journey to the Miss Chinese World crown
During the 11-day pageant journey, the finalists will engage in Chinese-centric activities, visit Oriental-themed landmarks, and explore local food and culture.
They will also have the chance to interact with sponsors and attend various events. The highly anticipated coronation night will see one of the 17 finalists crowned as Miss Chinese World 2023, receiving a range of prizes including a cash prize, a crown, a sash, a trophy, and a scholarship.

Miss Chinese World pageant voting contest and Grand Final event
In conjunction with the highly anticipated Miss Chinese World 2023 Grand Final, an exciting Voting Contest will take place through the Metaverse Platform.
