The Ministry of Transport Malaysia recently released a statement mandating all airlines in the country to offer fixed fares for flights between Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah, as well as Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke recently announced that all domestic airlines will offer special prices for travel periods from May 27 to 29 to Sabah and May 29 to 31 to Sarawak. Loke clarified that travellers can still purchase tickets at lower prices if the original ticket price is below RM300.

The government has purchased a total of 17,708 tickets from the airlines and will sell them at a maximum discounted price of RM300. The announcement was made during a press conference following the Hari Raya celebration at the Kuala Lumpur station of Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB).

Following this, MYAirline is offering fixed ticket prices for up to 4,000 seats. With this initiative, travellers can enjoy attractive fixed base fares of MYR300* for one-way travel on all MYAirline routes between Kuala Lumpur and East Malaysia.

Passengers will also benefit from a generous 20kg check-in baggage allowance, ensuring a seamless and comfortable journey.
