Singapore Airlines has claimed the top spot as the World’s Best Airline at the highly anticipated 2023 World Airline Awards. The ceremony, hailed as the “Oscars of the aviation industry,” took place at the iconic Air and Space Museum during the Paris Air Show.
The event brought together industry leaders, including airline CEOs, presidents, and senior management, to celebrate excellence in the aviation sector.

Qatar Airways, a seven-time winner of the Airline of the Year award, secured the second position in the World Airline Rankings for 2023. ANA All Nippon Airways claimed the third spot, followed by Emirates in fourth place and Japan Airlines in fifth place among the 325 airlines included in the survey.
Singapore Airlines and Qatar Airways stood out as the big winners of the night, each receiving nine awards. Singapore Airlines First Class Cabin was recognized as the World’s Best First Class, highlighting the airline’s commitment to exceptional luxury and service. Qatar Airways, known for its outstanding performance, secured nine award wins, cementing its position as one of the industry’s leading carriers.
Delta Air Lines achieved success in North America, earning six awards, while Turkish Airlines dominated the European region, receiving four awards, including the highly competitive Best Airline in Europe title.
Edward Plaisted, the representative of Skytrax, commended Singapore Airlines on their remarkable achievement. He praised the airline’s exceptional performance in various award categories and emphasized the significance of their First Class cabin recognition.
