Heineken Malaysia, through its annual Tiger Chinese Education Charity Concert Programme (Tiger CECC), has achieved a significant milestone by assisting SMJK Chan Wa in raising an unprecedented RM 9,365,698.88 during the school’s centennial celebration.
This marks the highest funds ever raised by an individual school since the inception of Tiger CECC.
The substantial amount collected will contribute to the development of SMJK Chan Wa, encompassing the construction of a modern administration centre, a new library, a sports centre, and upgrade works for classrooms, staffrooms, and the history museum.
A record-breaking contribution
The success of Tiger CECC in supporting SMJK Chan Wa’s 100th-anniversary celebration is evident in the record-breaking sum of RM 9.36 million raised.
This achievement underscores the programme’s commitment to enhancing the educational environment of local schools. The funds will play a crucial role in developing SMJK Chan Wa’s infrastructure, providing state-of-the-art facilities that contribute to a holistic learning experience.
Frank Gan, National Sales Manager, Heineken Malaysia, applauded SMJK Chan Wa for surpassing their initial target of RM5 million with the final RM9.3 million fundraised.

Tiger CECC, in existence for almost 30 years, has been an integral part of local communities, evolving alongside generations to support educational institutions across Malaysia.
The programme, operating in collaboration with its media partner, has organised charity concerts benefiting over 540 local schools.
With a cumulative fundraising total exceeding RM407 million, Tiger CECC has left an enduring impact on thousands of students, significantly contributing to the nation’s educational foundation.
