Malaysians are in for a treat this Chinese New Year as Nestlé’s KitKat® introduces a groundbreaking Limited-Edition KitKat® Golden Dragon to usher in the auspicious Year of the Dragon. The confectionery, produced in the Chembong factory, is set to captivate taste buds with its innovative ‘Farbling’ technology, creating a dazzling Dragon-scale pattern on the chocolate.

This global first uses a combination of Fading and Marbling technology, allowing for an intricate design inspired by mythical Dragon scales. The golden yellow and red hues evoke the spirit of the Dragon, symbolizing power, luck, and prosperity in Chinese culture.

Symbolic Design and Zesty Orange Flavor

What sets the KitKat® Golden Dragon edition apart is its introduction of a Zesty Orange flavor, in line with the growing trend of seasonal flavors in chocolates. The perfect balance between the refreshing zest of orange, the sweetness of creamy milk chocolate, and the iconic crispy KitKat® wafer promises a remarkable sensory experience.

To commemorate the launch, a special event took place at Sunway Velocity Mall in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. The KitKat® Golden Dragon Dance Troupe took center stage, enchanting the audience with their awe-inspiring performance, bringing vibrancy and inspiration for legendary breaks during the Chinese New Year.

In conjunction with the festive celebration, KitKat® introduces a range of limited-edition KitKat® Golden Dragon collections, including 4 Finger Singles, Share bags, Dragon CNY Gifting Metal Tin, a customised Cele-break Pack, and the KitKat® x Malaysian Artists Edition Multipurpose Bag, in collaboration with local artists Cassey Gan and Cloakwork.
