The LINC KL has proudly revealed the “Exquisite Rhyme of Spring” Gongbi Silk Fan Art Exhibition, featuring 56 masterpieces created by artists from the Malaysian Institute of Art and Wen-Cheng Oriental Art.

Unveiled on January 27, 2024, this exhibition provides art enthusiasts with a unique opportunity to delve into the ancient Chinese painting technique of Gongbi.

The public can explore this artistic showcase at Level 2, Event Space, from January 24 to February 25, 2024.

The LINC KL has introduced the “Exquisite Rhyme of Spring” Gongbi Silk Fan Art Exhibition, showcasing the talent of 56 artists from the Malaysian Institute of Art and Wen-Cheng Oriental Art.

The exhibition, inaugurated on January 27, 2024, at Level 2, Event Space, allows visitors to immerse themselves in the intricate world of Gongbi painting – a traditional Chinese art form celebrated for its delicate and elegant style.

Esteemed VIP guests, including Dato’ Wong Pui Lam, Chairman of the Board of Governors at the Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA), and Chua Ngeun Lok, Director of General Affairs at MIA, graced the launch event.

Lim Chee Wai, General Manager, Investment Properties at PPB Properties, and Quah See Hoong, an experienced artist and Gongbi painting instructor, were also present.

The 55 artists from the Extra-Mural Department of MIA and Wen-Cheng Oriental Art attended to witness the unveiling of their silk fan masterpieces.

In addition to the exhibition, a Gongbi Silk Fan Painting Workshop took place on January 28th, 2024, allowing attendees to gain hands-on experience in Gongbi painting techniques.

Quah guided participants through the intricacies of this traditional art form, providing an enriching cultural experience.

This workshop adds an interactive dimension to the exhibition, offering art enthusiasts the chance to engage directly with the timeless tradition of Gongbi painting.

The exhibition itself aims to shine a spotlight on the delicate and elegant charm of Gongbi painting.
