SUBANG JAYA: A newborn girl, with the umbilical cord still intact, was found abandoned in front of a house in USJ2 here early yesterday.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Zainal Rashid Abu Bakar said the 35-year-old house owner found the baby, bundled in an orange-coloured towel, at his doorstep after returning from the mosque at 6.30am.
The baby was fast asleep when police officers and medical personnel from the Serdang Hospital arrived at the scene and took her away for further tests.
Initial investigations revealed the baby was just one or two days old. Anyone with information should contact the nearest police station or the RakanCop hotline at 03-21159999.
