In response to the pervasive nature of cybersecurity threats, especially impacting SMEs, the Forensics and Cyber Security Research Centre (FSeC) at APU introduces ‘Cybersecurity as a Service’ (CaaS).

Recognising the vulnerability of businesses to cyberattacks and the enduring consequences they entail, FSeC-CaaS emerges as a pioneering commercial response unit.

SMEs, often bearing the brunt of cyber risks, can now access industry-oriented consultancy services that are both cost-effective and of high quality.

Leading this initiative is Professor Ir. Eur. Ing. Ts. Dr. Vinesh Thiruchelvam, APU’s Chief Innovation and Enterprise Officer, and the Advisor of FSeC. Prof. Vinesh emphasizes, “FSeC-CaaS showcases APU’s academic prowess by delivering industry-level professional consultancy services based on industrial competency.”

FSeC-CaaS achieves a significant milestone by completing a penetration test for its inaugural client, Pixalink Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian SME specializing in a cloud-based customer acquisition software called ‘Explore.’
