Foodpanda Malaysia, the leading food and grocery delivery platform, is spreading Ramadan cheer to its delivery partners.
This initiative reflects foodpanda’s commitment to supporting and appreciating their essential workforce.
Ramadan festivities and recognition
Foodpanda hosted buka puasa (breaking fast) events across six states in Malaysia, bringing together a total of 950 delivery partners for shared meals and community spirit.
These gatherings included a special event in Klang Valley dedicated to female riders, acknowledging their significant contributions and coinciding with International Women’s Day in March.
In collaboration with GLOWco, foodpanda also distributed limited-edition hijabs to their female Muslim riders as a token of appreciation.
“We were thrilled with the turnout from our delivery partners,” said Shubham Saran, Director of Operations at foodpanda Malaysia.
“Seeing their smiles as they break fast together brings great joy. Foodpanda recognizes the strength and dedication of our female workforce, particularly during this holy month.”
Boosting earnings with Tip Top-Ups
foodpanda is further supporting its delivery partners by topping up customer tips. For each order where a customer chooses to tip their delivery partner, foodpanda will contribute an additional RM1.
“We continuously seek ways to elevate our delivery partners’ experience,” explained Saran. “This initiative involves our customers, and we strongly encourage tipping when placing orders.
These efforts aim to assist our partners as they prepare for the upcoming festive season with their families. Our goal is to ensure they feel valued as members of the foodpanda family.”
Foodpanda Malaysia’s Ramadan initiatives highlight their ongoing commitment to supporting their delivery partners.
These efforts extend beyond the holy month, with the platform continuously introducing new and improved benefits, bonus opportunities, and additional support programs.
