MCTF champions sustainability for future workforce

The Malaysia Career and Training Fair (MCTF) embraces sustainability as a core theme, connecting job seekers with companies committed to environmental and social responsibility.

The Malaysia Career and Training Fair (MCTF), a longstanding leader in career expos, is pioneering a new focus on sustainability for its 2024 edition.

Recognizing the urgency of addressing global challenges like climate change, the fair is aligning its efforts and exhibitors with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Acknowledging the critical role career fairs play in shaping the future workforce, Adam Adli, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia, officiated the event.

He emphasised the importance of MCTF as a cornerstone in empowering youth and shaping careers.

“The shift of this year’s fair aligns seamlessly with the Ministry’s initiatives,” said Adli.

“Reflecting a commitment that goes beyond nurturing talent to cultivating sustainable pathways for our nation’s youth.”

Uniquely, exhibitors at MCTF not only prioritise sustainable practices themselves, but also declare their specific SDG goals for potential employees.

This allows job seekers at the fair to connect with companies whose values and goals align with their own, fostering meaningful career paths that contribute to a sustainable future.

A bi-annual event empowering youth and shaping careers

MCTF boasts over 100 exhibitors who are committed to the SDGs. These organisations span diverse industries like technology, finance, healthcare, and education.

They all share a common goal: promoting sustainable practices within their workplaces and beyond.
