This strategic promotion aims to capitalise on the ongoing celebrations of “50 Years of China-Malaysia Diplomatic Relations,” further incentivising Chinese tourists to consider Malaysia as a prime holiday destination in 2024.

The collaboration aligns with the significant surge in Chinese tourist arrivals to Malaysia.

In 2023, the country welcomed a remarkable 1.47 million visitors from China, reflecting a staggering 593.4% increase compared to the same period in 2022, which saw 212,603 arrivals.

This partnership serves as a strategic initiative to capitalise on this growing trend and further solidify the tourism ties between Malaysia and China.
