“By showcasing institutions favoured by employers, it empowers students to make informed decisions that enhance their post-graduation job prospects.”
Talentbank is committed to bridging the gap between academia and industry, ultimately strengthening graduate employability in Malaysia.
Their National Graduate Employability Index (Talentbank’s GE Index) plays a key role in this mission.
The GE Index: Insights from leading employers
The GE Index analyzes data from over 700 leading employers across diverse industries.
This comprehensive approach helps students and parents navigate the educational landscape by identifying in-demand fields of study, highlighting esteemed universities, and revealing which institutions are favoured by industry leaders.
“The GE Index is a critical tool in achieving our vision,” Ho remarked.
“It steers students towards universities that equip them for success in the international job market. By doing so, we contribute to elevating Malaysia’s graduate employability and global competitiveness.”
Commenting on the recognition, Datuk Parmjit Singh highlighted APU’s dedication to producing highly employable graduates.
“The high number of recruiters present at our annual mega career fair is a testament to this commitment,” he stated.
“Our skilled faculty plays a vital role in ensuring seamless knowledge transfer, constantly adapting curriculum to meet evolving global demands.”
APU’s status as a Premier Digital Tech Institution (PDTI) by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) further underscores its dedication to industry alignment.
Through collaboration with key industry players, APU develops curricula that equip graduates with the skills and knowledge employers seek.
With over 80,000 successful alumni thriving in global careers, APU stands as a beacon of excellence in education and industry readiness.
