Gamuda Luge Gardens, the latest tourism attraction by Gamuda Land, was officially opened today by Dato’ Seri Amirudin Bin Shari, Menteri Besar of Selangor.
This grand opening marks a significant milestone for Gamuda Land, featuring the renowned Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur, the family-friendly FunPark, and the waterplay attraction Big Bucket Splash.
Luge Gardens: A boost to Selangor’s tourism
During the event, Amirudin highlighted the strategic importance of Gamuda Luge Gardens for Selangor’s tourism sector.
“The addition of Gamuda Luge Gardens, featuring the first-ever Skyline Luge in Malaysia and a vibrant entertainment hub in the northern Klang Valley corridor, reinforces Selangor’s position as a premier tourist destination,” he said.
“Last year, Selangor welcomed 6.54 million tourists. With these new attractions, we aim to achieve our target of 7 million tourist arrivals for Visit Selangor Year 2025.
This development not only enhances the state’s unique tourism offerings but also aligns with our broader strategy to attract leading international brands and elevate the overall visitor experience in Selangor.”
Since its soft launch in December 2023, Gamuda Luge Gardens has quickly become a landmark destination, attracting over 420,000 visitors, including international tourists.
Tan Sri Dato’ Setia Haji Ambrin Bin Buang, Chairman of Gamuda Berhad, stated, “This underscores our dedication to good placemaking for our community by creating places where they can be out in nature, get to know one another, and ultimately form close-knit communities that support one another.”

The official launch of Gamuda Luge Gardens signifies a new era of excitement in the township, with the unveiling of two new attractions, completing the FunPark experience.
These include the Ferris wheel, Eye of Gardens, officially recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records as the tallest and largest Ferris wheel in a theme park, and the thrilling Vroomerang ride.
The FunPark now offers a complete experience, complementing its existing attractions: Jellycup Twist, Fruity Frenzy, Jumpshot, Carousel, and the 10,000-square-foot Big Bucket Splash waterplay area.
Eye of Gardens stands as an iconic landmark, soaring to a height of 50 metres. Offering panoramic views of the township’s lush surroundings, visitors can ride the tallest Ferris wheel in a theme park, capturing breathtaking views of Gamuda Gardens.
Adjacent to the Eye of Gardens, Vroomerang promises an adrenaline-fuelled experience. This turntable coaster ride twists along a 10-metre-high track, ensuring unforgettable moments of excitement for all.
Adding to the excitement, Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur announces the upcoming launch of Hyfly, the first-in-Malaysia dualling zipline, set to debut by the end of 2024. With this addition, Gamuda Luge Gardens remains poised to meet its annual visitorship target of 720,000.
Gavin Barnes, General Manager of Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur, said, “At Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur, we take great pride in being part of the ongoing development of Gamuda Luge Gardens’ ecosystem.
Our commitment extends beyond merely providing entertainment; we aim to contribute to the enrichment of the region by offering unique recreational options suitable for families and adults alike.
We are excited to bring the Hyfly zipline project, elevating the standard of entertainment even further.”
As FunPark and Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur ignite excitement, the next chapter unfolds with The Atrium.
This mixed-use development, adjacent to Skyline Luge and FunPark, will be unveiled in phases, boasting a diverse tenant mix comprising F&B, retail, entertainment, and more, to cater to the thriving community at Gamuda Gardens and its surrounding areas.
Envisioned as a fully pedestrianised space, The Atrium harmonises with the bustling foot traffic from FunPark and Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur, featuring an open-space layout conducive to relaxation and exploration.
Adding to the appeal, The Atrium will house an extension of the fun components, including an indoor theme park and a variety of F&B outlets.
Haji Ambrin elaborated, “Gamuda Luge Gardens demonstrates a broader paradigm shift in urban planning that includes thoughtful and effective placemaking for quality public spaces.
These initiatives seamlessly complement the township’s residential and lifestyle components. The development has not only revitalised the immediate area but has also spurred prosperity in the surrounding regions.”
To ensure seamless access for both residents and visitors, a complimentary shuttle bus service operates between the residential enclave at Waterfront Village and Gamuda Luge Gardens.
Additionally, Prasarana operates a shuttle bus service from the MRT Sungai Buloh station to Gamuda Gardens and Gamuda Luge Gardens.
The expansion of Gamuda Luge Gardens signifies Gamuda Land’s steadfast dedication to pioneering innovative concepts that redefine leisure within its townships, enriching the recreational experiences of the community and beyond.
