AirAsia is expanding its network to India with the launch of a direct route to Port Blair in the Andaman Islands, further cementing its status as a leading low-cost carrier in the region.

This new service, starting on 16 November 2024, makes AirAsia the only airline in ASEAN to offer international flights to Port Blair, providing travellers with an exciting gateway to this tropical paradise.

With the addition of Port Blair, AirAsia now operates flights to 17 destinations across India, including major cities such as Chennai and Amritsar.

This new route, AirAsia’s shortest service to India, reflects the airline’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the Indian market.

In 2024 alone, AirAsia has introduced eight new routes to India, including Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, and Kozhikode, bringing its total number of flights to India to 91 weekly.

To celebrate the launch, AirAsia is offering promotional fares from Kuala Lumpur to Port Blair starting at RM199 all-in* one way.

These special fares are available for booking on the AirAsia MOVE app (formerly airasia Superapp) or airasia.com from today until 19 August 2024, for travel between 16 November 2024 and 25 October 2025.

Additionally, Malaysians can enjoy visa-free entry to India for tourist visits of up to 30 days until 30 June 2025.
