MMA hosts free health screenings on Doctors' Day

The Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) will be hosting a free health screening this Saturday, 12th October, from 9 am to 3 pm at MMA House, Jalan Pahang, Kuala Lumpur.

The event marks Doctors’ Day and is part of the MMA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at promoting better health awareness among the public.

MMA President Dato’ Dr Kalwinder Singh Khaira said the free health screenings are an opportunity for people to check their vital health signs and detect potential health issues early.

“These screenings, which include blood sugar, lipid profiles, and electrocardiograms (ECG), can help individuals understand their health status.

Early detection of health conditions allows for timely treatment, preventing serious complications later on,” he said.

These activities are designed to engage and educate the public on the importance of regular health monitoring.

Dr Kalwinder highlighted the value of these screenings, stating, “This initiative is part of our mission to ensure that healthcare is accessible to all, especially the underserved.

We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity, not just for themselves but also for their loved ones.”
