AdminPutrajaya’s IOI City Mall welcomed 2025 with a grand New Year’s Eve celebration that drew nearly 30,000 attendees, setting a new benchmark for festive gatherings in Malaysia. The MeleTOP Countdown Concert, presented in collaboration with Astro, not only entertained but also made history as Malaysia’s first outdoor MeleTOP concert to be broadcast live on television.
“This year’s New Year’s Eve celebration was truly one for the books. Seeing thousands come together to celebrate, share joy, and create cherished memories is what drives us to keep raising the bar. The collaboration with MeleTOP was a first for IOI City Mall, solidifying its reputation as a premier venue for large-scale events that captivate nationwide audiences.
Carnival Vibes and Captivating Entertainment
The celebration kicked off in the early evening, transforming IOI City Mall into a carnival wonderland. Visitors were treated to an array of activities, from tantalising food trucks to mesmerising performances by LED jugglers, magicians, and violinists. Families and friends soaked in the vibrant atmosphere as pyro acts and interactive entertainment spread cheer across the venue.
Rocketfuel Entertainment artists added to the excitement, with performances by talents like William So Wing Hong, Dr Soo Wincci, Nadeera Zaini, and many others. These acts laid the groundwork for an unforgettable night of music and celebration.
A Star-Studded Countdown Concert
The energy escalated as the MeleTOP Countdown Concert began at 10 PM. Hosts Nabil, Hawa, and Namie led the event, setting an electrifying tone. Performances by stars such as Ayda Jebat, Shiha Zikir, and Noki K-Clique delighted fans, while appearances by Shila Amzah, Aina Abdul, and Dato’ Ramli Sarip added star power.
The lineup also included surprise moments, such as Syafiq Kyle’s appearance, keeping the audience on their toes. The night featured a mix of genres and powerhouse vocals, including performances by Hael Husaini, Khai Bahar, and Noraniza Idris, ensuring something for everyone.
The New Year’s Eve celebration at IOI City Mall catered to diverse audiences, from families indulging in the mall’s F&B offerings to music fans cheering for their favourite artists. As the clock struck midnight, a breathtaking 10-minute fireworks display lit up the Putrajaya skyline, leaving attendees in awe and marking the start of 2025 with grandeur.
