Martell Noblige Swift Talent Quest returns to spotlight Malaysian DJs

Malaysia’s DJs can compete for RM138,000 in prizes as Martell Noblige Swift Talent Quest 2026 opens submissions until Sept 6.

Malaysia’s DJ community is being invited to compete for a share of prizes worth up to RM138,000 as the Martell Noblige Swift Talent Quest returns for its 2026 edition.

Submissions for the nationwide competition opened on Aug 1 and will remain open until Sept 6, with aspiring and established DJs encouraged to showcase their sound, creativity and technical abilities.

The competition offers the winner a RM30,000 cash prize, Alpha Theta products, a fully promoted Martell Noblige DJ Tour across Malaysia, a track release and an exclusive Production Session DJ Course at DJ’s Playground, among other prizes.

Now in its fourth edition, the talent quest has continued to provide a platform for local DJs to challenge themselves, develop their skills and gain exposure through live performances.

Competition tests DJs’ adaptability and technical skills

This year’s competition introduces a new series of challenges designed to test adaptability, musicality, collaboration and technical command.

The challenges are intended to push contestants beyond familiar territory while encouraging them to demonstrate what Martell describes as a “Shockingly Disruptive” approach to music and performance.

“Martell Noblige Swift Talent Quest asks every DJ to do something they haven’t done before,” said Liew Pooi Wan, Head of Marketing at Pernod Ricard Malaysia.

“Every challenge is built to push DJs across genres, out of their comfort zone, and into territory that’s Shockingly Disruptive. This is where DJs stop following trends and start setting them, and where they Soar Beyond The Expected,” she added.

Contestants will progress through three stages, beginning with the Preliminary Rounds at Martell Noblige Swift Nights, where shortlisted DJs will perform in front of live audiences.

Those who advance will compete in the Semi-Finals before the remaining finalists face off at the Martell Noblige Swift Festival Grand Final.

The competition previously saw six finalists perform on the festival’s mainstage, with DJ Novern crowned the 2025 champion. Novern joins DJ Svggy and Exclusive Pete in the competition’s Hall of Fame.

DJ’s Playground returns as official mentoring partner

DJ’s Playground will return as the competition’s official mentoring partner, with its involvement expanded this year to support participants during the entry stage.

The first 30 submissions will receive access to a free DJ Battle Course from DJ’s Playground, aimed at helping aspiring DJs strengthen their skills and prepare for the competition.

To enter, participants must prepare a DJ set in video format of no more than 90 seconds that reflects their individual sound and musical identity.

The video must then be uploaded to Instagram with the hashtags #MARTELLMY, #NOBLIGE, #SWIFTTALENTQUEST and #STQ2026.

Participants must also complete the official entry form before the Sept 6 deadline. Shortlisted DJs will be contacted by Sept 30 with details of the Preliminary Rounds.
