STR 2027 status: How to check it after you apply online

Your STR 2027 status may read Permohonan Diterima, Dalam Proses, Lulus or Tidak Lulus. Here is what each result means, how to check it and what to do next.

Many people who applied for STR this year now see a short word on their MySTR page. It is easy to misread.

The STR 2027 status shows where your application sits, and it does not always mean approval. HASiL’s official STR 2027 FAQ sets out what each label means.

Below is how to check, what each result means, and what to do if the answer is no.

How to check your STR 2027 status

Not applied yet? Our guide to applying online covers the dates, forms and who must update.

First, log in at the official STR portal. Choose MySTR login, enter your MyKad number and pass the security check.

Then enter your password and click Semakan Status. The page shows your application status and payment details, if any.

For this reason, keep your MyKad number and password ready.

New users must register a MySTR ID before they can log in. HASiL encourages registration through the MyDigital ID app.

Alternatively, you can call the BKK hotline at 1-800-88-2747 or the Finance Ministry at 03-8882 4565 or 4566. Both lines run from 9am to 5pm.

You can also visit the nearest HASiL office.

The HASiL FAQ lists these four routes. Together, they cover online, phone and in-person checks.

What each status means

Permohonan Diterima means your application has arrived. HASiL will verify it in the order received.

Importantly, you can still update your details at this stage. That lasts until the status changes to Dalam Proses.

Dalam Proses means HASiL is now verifying your eligibility. At this point, the FAQ says details can no longer be updated until a decision appears.

News site eCentral, which covers government aid, says this stage includes checks with JPN, EPF and JPJ. The FAQ does not list them.

Lulus means you met the eligibility rules after verification. Tidak Lulus means you did not.

Therefore, Diterima alone is not an approval. Only Lulus is.

Your STR 2027 status can change in stages, so check back from time to time. The page also shows payment information once there is any to show.

Waiting at Diterima is normal, since applications are verified in order received.

What to do if the result is not good

A key point comes first. Once the status reads Dalam Proses, you cannot change your application details. You must wait for the decision.

In short, fix any mistakes while the status still reads Diterima. After that, you can only wait.

If your status shows Tidak Lulus, first check the HASiL application FAQ. It lists the reasons for rejection and the documents needed for an STR appeal.

Meanwhile, keep your supporting documents handy. You will need them if you appeal.

An appeal is called Rayuan STR. The status FAQ points applicants to the application FAQ for that step.

However, a status of Tidak Layak works differently. HASiL says to contact your nearest office for details.

Also, check your bank and income details before submitting. eCentral says LHDN requires an update after three years without one.

Once you are approved, cash aid and SARA credits follow. See our SARA 2027 explainer and Budget 2027 cash aid story for amounts and who gets what.
