Api House calls the event a chance to slow down and enjoy a cosy Sunday. It invites tea lovers to bring friends along.

Artisanal tea usually means tea from small producers. The line-up includes it, along with snacks. There will also be local crafts and unique handmade gifts.

The event runs on two dates, Sunday 1 November and Sunday 15 November 2026.

Organisers have not given opening times or an entry fee. They also have not named the tea brands or stallholders.

The event suits anyone who likes slow weekends and small, handmade finds. Visitors should therefore check Api House’s social pages before they go.

Meanwhile, the shop itself sells handmade and artisan products all year. The event adds a tea focus on these two Sundays.

About the Port Seni GM Klang

Photo: 巴生人Klang Community  FB

The venue is a creative and cultural space at GM Klang in Bandar Botanik. Ms Chua Yee Ling, chief executive officer of Tourism Selangor, inspired the idea.

Port Seni launched on 29 August, the launch release said.

It sits at Pavilion 5, Block C. Our earlier report on how GM Klang opened its creative space covers the launch.

The space has four parts. The Select Shop, run by Api House, sells handmade and artisan products.

The shop is one of four parts of the venue. The gallery’s first show, Klang Art Harmony, features 61 artworks by 30 Klang artists. A café is coming soon, and the Pulau Ketam Art Corner showcases the island’s culture.

GM Klang General Manager Chloe Tan Siang Hui said it is moving towards a B2B2C approach. It will keep its strong wholesale base.

In other words, the complex that has long served traders now wants to welcome shoppers too. The release said it will also host workshops, creative demonstrations and themed bazaars.

Planning your visit to GM Klang

GM Klang is in Bandar Botanik in Klang. Visitors from Kuala Lumpur should allow time for the drive. The tea event falls on the first and third Sundays of the month, so plan early.

Ask the organisers about the best time to arrive. Sundays may bring larger crowds, so go early if you can.

The release did not mention parking or entry fees. Visitors should ask the organisers.

Bring a bag for your finds. The complex has welcomed other themed events before. For example, it once launched a Sabah Mart with more than 300 products.

Klang itself rewards a longer visit. Our guide to the town’s history as a royal city and port is a good start.

Port Seni is easy to combine with a gallery visit. The gallery has a show of 61 artworks by Klang artists.

Tea lovers can tag friends on social media and mark their calendars. The first date is Sunday, 1 November.
