The 17th Pasir Gudang World Kite Festival got off on a slow start on the second of the five days event due to unfavourable wind conditions. Nonetheless, the spectators and participants were seen to be in equally high spirits.
The event site was all spiced up for the festival with techno music blasting away and rows of bazaar stalls displaying merchandises for sale.
The festival is scheduled to be officiated by the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar on February 18 at 2pm.
Thousands are expected to throng the festival site during the weekend to witness the official launching and to be followed by the highlights of the event for the day.
The festival ends on Sunday, February 19, 2012
