Nube to Maybank: Stop union busting

The National Union of Bank employees (NUBE) is accusing  Maybank Berhad of union busting activities.

Today is the latest of a series of pickets organised by the Union and is held in front of the Menara Maybank in Kuala Lumpur.

The  main reason for the picketing is the banks role in encouraging the formation of an in house union even though NUBE is the officially accepted Union representing the non management employees..

Arising from this there has been many other disputes like bonus payments, special treatment in favour of  the in house union and termination of 2 union officials for their activities in Geneva.

It appears that these protests by the Union will continue until the Union gets some positive response from the Company.
