This morning at about 10.30am, some 15 members from the National Union of Bank Employees headed by its Peninsula Malaysia President, Tan Eng Hong were at the Johor Bahru (South) police station to lodge a police report against Maybank and three of its senior executives.
NUBE alledged that Maybank has unlawfully dismissed two of its employees who are also exco member of the union and reiterated that the bank action was in gross violations of the prevailing Labour Act specifically under Section 39 and Section 59 of the Industrial Relation Act.
The union urged the police to investigate the case and to take necessary action against the offending parties.
