NGO providing emotional support

3rd October 2010, The Zon Johor Bahru – Befrienders JB organized its very first Indoor Treasure Hunt with theme of Hunt for Health and 4th Annual Reaching – Out together with fund raising event. The hunt is organized in conjunction with World Mental Health Day (10th October 2010) which flagged off by honored YB Mok Chek Hou, Adun Stulang and participated by many Ngos from around Johor Bahru. YB Mok Chek Hou congratulates Befrienders for the love and concern being showered to the community particularly to those who are in despair and distress.

Befrienders briefly is a non-profit and non-governmental organization that gives an emotional support to people who are in misery, loneliness, despair and have tendency to suicide. According to the president of Befrienders JB Esther Teo, approximately 1 million people kill themselves every year and many would not if only they had someone to talk to and by talking to us may help someone to save their own life.
