Gerakan has held a protest calling Lim Guan Eng as ‘Nonsence CM’ November last year. They claimed that the Penang State Government is foolish to turn down a RM30 billion investment because he cannot guarantee the state can provide 1,000 electrical engineers.
However, the International Trade and Industry Minister has recently revealed that the country has a serious shortage of skilled workers.
Guan Eng remarked that Penangites have chosen the right government. Otherwise, he said the wrong one would have caused the state to become bankrupt as failure to provide the 1,000 engineers which will cause lawsuits up to billions of ringgit.
