Sipitang:Near Sipitang town, a new RM7 million road was constructed leading right into ‘jungle’ area and another 5 concrete bridges will be added to it. It is on the right junction of Jalan Katipoh, if you’re heading from town. There are only three houses and a few kongsi houses that benefit from that road.
Now on the left junction, a road leads to three kampongs, with 800 people living in the area. Roads are bumpy and gravel-lined. There are no bridges, forcing drivers to cross the nearby Lukutan river without the ease of a road. Why aren’t the bridges here? Why spend money on a sealed road hardly anyone uses?
