Perak Public Accounts Committee chairman Raja Ahmad Zainuddin Raja Omar yesterday, asked the relevant government agencies to ensure that commercial poultry farms do not impose the housefly menace on nearby residential areas.
He said the PAC had received numerous complaints on the problem.
“The farms may have been there before the housing estates came up, therefore some form of control must be implemented to prevent the flies from bothering the nearby residents,” he told reporters.
Raja Ahmad Zainuddin said the government agencies could come up with working papers on how to overcome the problem.
