A female Form Five student of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Chiku 2,  in Gua Musang, has been missing for a week.

Her father, Manaf Kasim, 55, from the Felda Chiku 2 land scheme said his daughter, Siti Safdiah, 17 had not returned home since Sept 28 without leaving any message.

“She went out at about 11am that day and has not returned since. We are worried for her safety,” he said yesterday.

He lodged a report at the Gua Musang district police headquarters on Sept 29 and described his fourth child of eight siblings as a good and smart girl who was the hope of the family.

Manaf said there was no disagreement between Siti Safdiah and the family to make her run away.

“She had also not talked about a relationship with anybody and had always pledged to study hard for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), so as to be a model child in the family,” he said.

Manaf said his wife Zaiton Mat Ariffin, 48, had been frequently ill and falling unconscious as she was so worried about Siti Safdiah’s safety.

He appealed to members of the public who know her daughter and her whereabouts to contact him at 013-3771096.
