Two men threatened a female student with a machete before escaping with her motorcycle at Taman Impianku in Jalan Sungai Lembing near Kuantan yesterday.
The 19-year-old form six student and her classmate were stopped by the two men who had been following them on their motorcycle at about 3pm, Pahang Criminal Investigation Department secretariat staff officer ASP Noor Asyikin Shamsuri said today.
“They approached the two girls pretending to be police officers investigating a missing person case. Suddenly, one of them drew out a parang and demanded for the key of the motorcycle,” Noor Asyikin told reporters.
The suspects are believed to be in their 20s to 30s.
Both girls were not injured.
