35 Johor charitable organisations received RM 1 million

JOHOR BAHRU – Better Malaysia Foundation contributed a total of RM1 million to 35 charity organizations in Johor. [VIDEO]

 

The event

Better Malaysia Foundation contributed a total of RM 1 million to 35 charitable organizations in Johor at a cheque presentation ceremony by the guest of honour, DYMM Tuanku Raja Zarith Sofiah.

YAM Tunku Tun Aminah binti Sultan Ibrahim, Berjaya group chairperson Vincent Tan and Johor Bahru MP Shahrir Abdul Samad were also present.

The Better Malaysia Foundation was formerly known as VTCY Foundation which was Vincent Tan’s personal foundation.

The principal objectives of the Foundation are to receive and administer funds for medical, charitable, educational and environmental purposes.

Some of the beneficiaries for the RM1 million contribution were Malaysian Red Crescent Community Services Johor Bahru (RM110,000), Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Spastik Johor (RM50,000), Malaysian Sikh Union Johor Branch (RM35,000), Johor Women’s League (RM30,000), Johor Arts Festival (RM20,000), The Breast Cancer Support Group JB (RM20,000), Befriender Muar (RM10,000), The Johor Bahru Happy and Joyous Club (RM5,000).
