Petronas wishes to alert the members of the public that an email scam under the heading of “Petronas Job Oppurtunity” is currently circulating on the Internet, where recipients of the email are urged to contact a ‘Petronas manager’ with their personal details to secure employment with the company.

The modus operandi of the party or parties behind the scam is to pose as Petronas’ recruitment department and charges job seekers certain amounts of money to secure job oppurtunities with Petronas.

Petronas wishes to stress that is has not authorised such email is to pose as Petronas recruitment department and charges job seekers certain amounts of money to secure job opportunities with Petronas.

Petronas wishes to stress that is has not authorised such email based on recruitment and does not employ any third-party personnel or online employment agency for such purpose. Petronas appeals to the public not to respond to the email or any such emails.

Petronas would like to inform that its official online talent sourcing or recruitment portal is www.discoverpetronas.com and those who wish to seek employment with Petronas are advised to visit only this portal.

Please also note that Petronas does not request any payment or charge any fee for processing job applications.

Online communication on recruitment from Petronas, if any, would be sent by Petronas’ officials using only email domains of discoverpetronas.com and petronas.com.my
