A fast food restaurant worker was found dead by his housemate about 9am today at the Cempaka Puri flat, Desa Cempaka, in a case which police believe is murder.
A police spokesman said the victim, identified as Azizul Ali, 29, from Tampin, was found with injuries on the back of his head caused by a blunt object.
The assault is believed to have taken place hours before he was found dead.
“When the victim was found, his face was covered with a pillow and some ofhis personal belongings like a laptop computer and handphone were also missing,”said the spokesman.
The front door of the victim’s unit on the second floor of the building had signs of having been pried open, he added.
The victim’s body was taken to Seremban Hospital and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
Seremban police deputy chief Supt Mohd Yusoff Awang confirmed the incident.
