Twenty senior citizens along with their guardians from the Pusat Aktiviti Warga Emas Cheras Baru in Kuala Lumpur were invited to a buka puasa (breaking of fast) event hosted by the Curve on June 30, 2014 as part of its Ramadan CSR towards society

The special guests dressed in their best clothes arrived to a warm welcome by their host at the mall’s centre court where they sat down and enjoyed an excellent culturally-packed “Budaya Raya Dance Musical”.

The specially choreographed performance featured a sparkling array of timeless classical dances and music such as wayang kulit, mak yong, kuda kepang, zapin and dikir barat.

“Celebrating this festive season with folks from Pusat Aktiviti Warga Emas Cheras Baru is a perfect way for us to share the joy and prosperity that we have achieved over the years.

“It was certainly heart-warming to see their happy faces as we broke fast and shared a meal together,” said Jazmi Kamarudin.

Pusat Aktiviti Warga Emas Cheras Baru chairperson Rokiah Datuk Hj Nordin said the folk felt appreciated and not forgotten.

The activity centre opens daily from 9 am to 5 pm and provides a place for seniors of all races to meet, socialise and participate in a variety of activities such as “mengaji” (Quran reciting), qigong, reflexology and outdoor activity.
