Fifty individuals and firms are to be honoured at the Malaysia Fashion, Modelling and Pageant Awards 2020 presented for the first time in conjunction with The Next Look of Selangor Fashion Week 2020 Beauty Pageant and Modelling Contest.
The recipients of the MFMP 2020 Awards will be celebrated at a Gala Night, Grand Final and Fashion Show at Grand Ion Delemen Hotel in Genting Highlands on 18th December.
“The MFMP awards recognised the fashion, modelling, pageant and related industry players who have excelled and contributed to the success of their industries in Malaysia,” Dr Jason Hee, president and founder of Miss Malaysia Kebaya (MMK) which is organising the event, told a virtual press conference via Zoom on 14th October.
“We encourage these outstanding achievement award recipients to continue contributing to the nation especially working together closely with the Ministry Of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) and help boost the local tourism industry,” he said.
The MFMP Awards are now open for nominations covering 50 categories across the fashion, modelling and pageant industry, and their ancillary services.
The MFMP award recipients will be judged by an expert panel comprised of professionals and industry leaders who have vast experience in fashion, modelling and beauty pageants.
Attendees at the virtual press conference included, among others, Tourism Malaysia central region director Mohd Izal bin Mahd Nor, Malaysia’s award-winning menswear designer Bon Zainal, Miss Chinese Cosmos 2004 (international winner) and CosmoWorld founder Carrie Lee, Grand Ion Delemen Hotel general manager Tee Yih Fung, A Cut Above Salons founder and chief creative director Datin Winnie Loo, award-winning leading training consultant Dato’ Lawrence Chan, Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society (MPS) deputy president and MD Pharma Sdn Bhd managing director Andrew Tan, and Selangor Fashion Week and The Next Look founder and partner Nicole Fe Lynne.
Grand Ion Delemen Hotel is the Title Presenter for the MFMP Awards 2020.
