Shell Malaysia has announced a groundbreaking collaboration with Lim Tayar, a leading independent car servicing provider in the country. This partnership marks a significant step forward in delivering enhanced servicing solutions and a premium experience for vehicle owners.
Under this collaboration, vehicle owners can now access top-tier servicing solutions, utilizing only genuine, high-quality parts and Shell engine lubricants. The heart of this endeavor lies in the expertise of a team of professionals who have undergone rigorous training and certification of Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3, ensuring that every aspect of vehicle maintenance adheres to the highest quality standards.
Premium servicing solutions
One of the standout features of this collaboration is the inclusion of a complimentary 17-point vehicle inspection as part of the comprehensive services offered to customers. This meticulous inspection encompasses crucial elements such as brake fluid exchange, spark plug replacement, battery renewal, tire substitution, transmission fluid assessment, and various other essential evaluations.
Seow Lee Ming, General Manager of Shell Mobility, Malaysia, expressed Shell’s commitment to delivering greater value to its customers, stating, “At Shell, we are constantly looking at ways to expand our range of services to bring more value to our customers. The collaboration was forged as we see a huge potential to give customers better and higher quality car maintenance services and other vehicle needs at Shell.”
Lee Ming also expressed confidence in the collaboration’s momentum, revealing, “Our goal is to expand our footprint to a total of 30 Lim Tayar-operated Shell Helix Service Centres by 2025, ensuring quality services are accessible to more Malaysians.”
During the official signing ceremony, Clement Lim, Joint Managing Director of CKL Group of Companies, shared his perspective on the collaboration, emphasizing Lim Tayar’s dedication to staying relevant and evolving to meet customer needs. “Partnerships have been part of the DNA of the Lim Tayar brand, and this partnership with Shell has solidified the status of Lim Tayar being able to constantly evolve and stay relevant to our customers,” he said. Lim also highlighted the added convenience for customers, who can now purchase a wide selection of tires in addition to Shell lubricants at these service centers.
Expanding footprint across Klang Valley
To date, Shell and Lim Tayar have already established five Shell Helix Service Centres within the Klang Valley region, with the first one launching at Shell Bangi 1, followed by Shell Jalan 222 Petaling Jaya, Shell Jalan Cheras BT 12 1/2, Shell Jalan Cheras Batu 4, and Shell Bandar Sri Damansara 3. Five more outlets are set to open by the end of this year, strategically located at Jalan Gasing PJ, SH Persiaran Sultan Ibrahim, Shell Shah Alam Seksyen16, Shell Jalan Ampang KL Bound, and Shell Salak South.
As part of the launch celebration, Shell and Lim Tayar will be offering exclusive package deals to reward their customers. Additionally, for the first seven days following the opening of a new outlet, the first five customers daily will enjoy a “Buy 1, Free 1” offer on selected tires.
