Kumareswarren Ramasamy has emerged as the undisputed champion of Mr. Malaysia 2023 after a remarkable 15-year journey in the world of bodybuilding.

The 38-year-old native of Terengganu, who also owns the Body Factory Gym and Fitness in Petaling Jaya, clinched the coveted title after securing the Men’s Bodybuilding over 90kg championship at the 52nd National Championships.

“I am very happy to have won the title of Mr. Malaysia after a lot of hard work. Although I have participated in and won many other competitions, this title is very special for me after undergoing training twice a day since the beginning of the year,” Kumareswarren told Bernama.

Kumareswarren’s Journey

Kumareswarren’s path to glory began with his victory in the Men’s Bodybuilding over 90kg category at the National Championships. This triumph granted him a place in the Champion of Champions round, where he eventually ascended to the summit as Mr. Malaysia 2023.

His win at the competition organized by the Malaysian Bodybuilding Federation (MBBF) was no easy feat, as he maintained a strict daily training regimen and a meticulously crafted diet focused on nutrition.

His commitment to training twice a day since the start of the year showcased the dedication and effort he poured into achieving this prestigious title

“There’s no sugar or fried food, only brown rice, chicken breast, vegetables, and oats in my diet,” Kumareswarren revealed, underscoring the meticulous attention he paid to his nutrition.

“To be in this field is not an easy journey because I also have to spend a lot of money – which is entirely borne by myself – for expenses such as food and supplements, but this is my passion, so it’s worth it,” he acknowledged.

The competition, organized by the Malaysian Bodybuilding Federation (MBBF), took place at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Danger, Selangor, from October 12th to 16th. Kumareswarren emerged as the “Champion of Champions 2023,” while the ‘Best Poser Award’ was presented to Noramzar Abdul Ghani of Kedah.
