“AirAsia Malaysia is thrilled to launch its first ever route to Australia,” said AirAsia Aviation Group CEO Bo Lingam.

Perth’s popularity for leisure travel, visiting family, and education, coupled with strong ties between Southeast Asia and Western Australia, made it a strategic choice for expansion.

The new service complements existing daily flights operated by AirAsia X, which utilizes larger A330 widebody aircraft.

This paves the way for potential future services to other Australian destinations.
