Rockwills International Group (Rockwills), a pioneer in will writing and estate planning, is addressing the challenge of rising food prices impacting many Malaysians.

To support vulnerable groups, particularly children in welfare homes, Rockwills has initiated a Food Collection Drive for Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Ekliptik Klang and Persatuan Kebajikan OKU Hati Berganda, Selangor.

The drive will run until 31 August 2024.

“The Food Collection Drive forms part of Rockwills’ community service programme that has been in place since 2008,” said Azhar Iskandar Hew, Group CEO of Rockwills.

“While the recipients may differ from year to year, our focus has always been consistent – providing food and necessities for the vulnerable and marginalised.”

Rockwills’ commitment to community service is evident in their ongoing efforts to support various groups.

This year, the focus is on two centres catering to children with developmental challenges.

The drive aims to alleviate some of the burdens faced by these institutions due to the rising cost of living.

Encouraging public participation

Azhar emphasised the critical role of Rockwills’ estate planners in supporting the initiative.

“We are most grateful to our teams of estate planners who have been incredibly supportive. However, we want to encourage other like-minded and financially able Malaysians to join us.

Together we can do so much more.”

Caring Malaysians, especially those in the Klang Valley, are invited to contribute by dropping off essential food items at Wisma Rockwills, Old Klang Road, Kuala Lumpur, or Rockwills Main Office at Plaza Armada, Petaling Jaya, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm from Mondays to Fridays.

Essential food items include Milo, milk powder, cooking oil, instant noodles, and rice.

While canned foods are not encouraged, non-food items such as Tiger Balm, VapoRub, toothpaste, and detergent are also welcomed.

Rockwills’ Food Collection Drive is a call to action for Malaysians to support children in need during these challenging times. By contributing essential items, the community can help ensure that children in welfare homes receive the nutrition and care they deserve.
