Taylor’s University has launched Malaysia’s first Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering with Honours, featuring specialised tracks in Robotics Systems and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

This four-year programme, accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Council, equips students for Industry 4.0’s demands in healthcare, manufacturing, and more.

Taylor’s Uni’s programme blends mechanical engineering, electronics, robotics, and AI, aligning with Malaysia’s National Policy on Industry 4.0.

“It is about developing engineers who will define the future,” said Ir Dr Phang Swee King, Programme Director.

Graduates can register as Professional Engineers with the Board of Engineers Malaysia, a Washington Accord signatory.

Moreover, the curriculum meets global standards, preparing students for a mechatronics market projected to hit USD 2.25 billion by 2031.

“Our students are strategically poised to shape Industry 4.0 globally,” Sim noted. Taylor’s Uni focuses on automation and AI, addressing challenges in aerospace and automotive sectors.

Additionally, the programme offers a fast-tracked Master’s degree through a 2+2 collaboration with the University of Birmingham.

This global exposure enhances career prospects, making Taylor’s Uni a hub for engineering excellence.
