Paramount Property’s inaugural Paramount Cup 2025 delivered a spectacular showcase of world-class pickleball, drawing more than 700 players and hundreds of fans over four action-packed days at PLAYA Racquet Club @ PARC Subang. Spanning 17 competition categories, from singles to gendered and mixed doubles, the event presented an electrifying display of athleticism, skill, and sportsmanship, alongside a record RM112,500 prize pool.
The championship marked the grand opening of Malaysia’s first purpose-built pickleball hub, where world-class facilities met beach-club vibes. More than a tournament, the Paramount Cup became a festival of sport, community, and connection, embodying pickleball’s inclusive and high-energy spirit. An all-star international line-up, including Vanshik Kapadia (India), Kyle Stoker (Australia), Nancy Riley (Australia), Hsieh Yu-Chieh (Taiwan), and Mihae Kwon (Korea), competed alongside Malaysia’s rising stars, who proved they could hold their own against the region’s elite.

Malaysian talent shines against international contenders
The tournament witnessed thrilling showdowns in several marquee events. In the Open 19+ Men’s Singles, India’s Tejas Mahajan claimed the title, with Malaysia’s Syabil Shaharudin and India’s Kuldip Ravindra finishing as runner-up and third place respectively — a statement of Malaysia’s growing dominance on home turf. In Men’s Doubles, the local duo Khoo Er Yang and Syabil Shaharudin narrowly missed gold against Kapadia and Mahajan, demonstrating homegrown precision and skill.
Women’s events also highlighted Malaysia’s rising talent. Delia Arnold, a national squash icon turned pickleballer, alongside Sieu Ee Toi, captured third place in Open 19+ Women’s Doubles, while Taiwan’s Hsieh Yu-Chieh and Chang Maggie took the crown. Veteran players dominated the 45+ categories, with Indonesia’s Edy Kurniawan and Gusti Ngurah Putra Haribawa claiming Men’s Doubles gold, and Gusti Ngurah Putra Haribawa pairing with Singapore’s Pini Lee to win Mixed Doubles, illustrating the tournament’s intergenerational appeal.
A celebration of community and sport

The event’s climax came in the Open 19+ Mixed Doubles, where Hsieh Yu-Chieh and Vanshik Kapadia delivered a thrilling performance to lift the title, while Malaysia’s Colin Wong and the United States’ Jas Almaguer secured third place, reflecting both international collaboration and Malaysian pride.
