In conjunction with World Art Day on 15 April, Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur has partnered with Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) to present a month-long art exhibition spotlighting Malaysia’s creative community and ecological heritage.
Carrying the theme Flora & Fauna of the Malaysian Rainforest, the exhibition forms part of the TRX Canvas Collective series, which features both established and emerging Malaysian artists. A total of 111 artworks were submitted, reflecting diverse interpretations of the country’s rich biodiversity and environmental narratives.

The exhibition aligns closely with Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur’s “Botanics Beyond Aesthetics” design philosophy, which draws inspiration from the textures, forms and stories of Malaysia’s tropical rainforest. By extending this concept beyond the hotel’s interiors, the collaboration transforms public and hospitality spaces into immersive galleries that bridge nature, art and community.
Beginning 15 April 2026, selected artworks are displayed at Anjung @ TRX as well as within the hotel’s key spaces, including the Arrival Lobby, The Living Room and Tuai + Till. The curated installations aim to provide visitors with an accessible and engaging way to experience Malaysian art in a contemporary urban setting.

“We are ecstatic about this collaboration with TRX City which extends our hotel’s design philosophy and TRX as a premier lifestyle destination. Through this exciting exhibition, we look to showcase the incredible talent within Malaysia’s creative community and invite artists to reimagine the beauty of our rainforests through their unique perspectives. It is a celebration of local artistry, environmental heritage and the stories to inspire meaningful connections,” said Paul Cunningham, General Manager of Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur.
Platform for local artists within evolving urban district
TRX City Sdn Bhd described the collaboration as part of its broader efforts to integrate arts and culture into the district’s identity, positioning TRX as more than a financial centre.
“We are honoured to partner with Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur to celebrate Malaysia’s natural treasures in this installation of TRX Canvas Collective. A platform such as this is aimed to highlight artistic talents in Malaysia, by showcasing their finest works to a wider audience. This district is more than an international financial centre and an economic hub; arts and culture is part of TRX’s identity and is vital for its placemaking and vibrancy,” said Yusmurni Md Yusoff, Chief Strategy Officer of TRX City Sdn Bhd.

Beyond its visual appeal, the exhibition underscores ongoing efforts to nurture local talent while raising awareness of Malaysia’s environmental heritage. The artworks, which are available for purchase, also offer artists an avenue for commercial exposure within a high-traffic urban precinct.
Visitors are encouraged to explore the exhibition throughout the month, experiencing interpretations of Malaysia’s flora and fauna through various artistic mediums. Organisers say the initiative reflects a growing emphasis on community engagement and cultural storytelling within Kuala Lumpur’s evolving cityscape.
