Guinness reveals Top 30 bars serving Perfect Pints nationwide

Guinness Malaysia names its Top 30 Perfect Pint Bars 2026, recognising outlets nationwide for consistently meeting Guinness Draught quality standards.

Guinness Malaysia has unveiled its Top 30 Perfect Pint Bars 2026, recognising outlets across the country for consistently meeting standards for a well-served Guinness Draught.

The recognition is part of the nationwide Rate Your Pint campaign, which invited consumers to become “Chief Pint Officers” by rating Guinness Draught served at participating outlets. More than 7,000 ratings were submitted by 3,480 consumers across 677 outlets nationwide.

The Top 30 were selected using a combined score from consumer ratings and Guinness Perfect Pint quality assessments conducted by the Star Academy team.

The recognised outlets span Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Johor, Perak, Sabah and Sarawak, reflecting the campaign’s nationwide reach.

Consumers participating in the campaign were encouraged to assess three elements of a Guinness Draught: the Serve, including a clean glass and Guinness coaster; the Tilt, where the creamy head remains intact without spilling; and the Taste, which should deliver a balanced and smooth profile.

“When we launched Rate Your Pint, we wanted consumers to better understand what goes into a well-served Guinness Draught and give them a simple way to recognise quality for themselves,” said Sean O’Donnell, Marketing Director of HEINEKEN Malaysia.

Training supports quality across Malaysia

The campaign is supported by Star Academy, HEINEKEN Malaysia’s training programme, through which Guinness Trainers work with bartenders to maintain Perfect Pour standards.

The programme currently has 12 Guinness Trainers who have trained 1,696 bartenders across 406 outlets nationwide. The initiative aims to strengthen consistency in how Guinness Draught is served while giving consumers greater awareness of the craftsmanship involved.

O’Donnell said the response to Rate Your Pint demonstrated that consumers pay attention to the details behind a quality serve.

“The response showed that people do notice the details, and the Top 30 recognises the outlets that have consistently put that care into every serve,” he said.

Guinness Malaysia said Chief Pint Officers will continue to play a role in recognising and championing well-served Guinness Draughts, alongside ongoing bartender training through Star Academy.

The campaign is open strictly to non-Muslims aged 21 and above. Guinness Malaysia also advocates responsible consumption and urges consumers never to drink and drive.
