Rework targets business AI integration with new agentic platform

Rework.com has launched its Agentic Operating System (Agentic OS) for Business in Kuala Lumpur, positioning the platform as an infrastructure layer for organisations seeking to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) more deeply into daily operations.

Unveiled at Rework Launch 2026, the platform is designed to connect employees, AI agents, business data and operational workflows within a single environment. The company said the approach is intended to move businesses beyond isolated AI applications towards broader integration across functions.

The launch comes as Malaysian companies increase investment in digitalisation while AI adoption remains uneven. The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) recorded RM87.4 billion in digital investments in 2025, while a Strand Partners report cited by Rework found that 67% of Malaysian AI adopters continued to rely mainly on basic applications such as chatbots.

The same report indicated that only 19% had a formal strategy for scaling AI across multiple business functions.

Bridging Malaysia’s AI adoption gap

Eric Pham, Founder and CEO of Rework.com, said the challenge for Malaysian businesses was increasingly related to infrastructure rather than access to AI models.

“Malaysian businesses’ AI adoption gap is not due to lack of investment or large language model; it is a lack of business infrastructure that lets AI move beyond isolated tools into the way work actually gets done,” he said.

Pham said the Agentic OS was intended to help businesses move from individual AI-powered applications towards systems in which AI agents could operate across interconnected business processes.

The company expects AI models to become increasingly commoditised, potentially shifting competitive considerations towards how effectively businesses apply AI to their own operational knowledge, processes and data.

The platform is built around an “Intelligence Architecture” and a set of interconnected Business Services. The intelligence layer connects business outputs and organisational knowledge with multiple AI capabilities, including Service AI, AI Assistant, AI Desktop and Workflow AI.

Business services cover areas including marketing, sales, work management, human resources and communications. These include functions such as lead monitoring, pipeline management, project coordination, employee services, meetings and organisational communication.

Combining people, data and AI agents

Rework said the architecture is intended to give AI agents access to the context and capabilities required to understand business processes and coordinate work across different functions.

Brian Trinh, Co-Founder and COO of Rework.com, said businesses needed to reconsider how work is designed as AI capabilities develop.

“The opportunity in the AI era is not simply to add another AI tool to an existing software stack. Businesses need to rethink how work is designed, how context is captured, and how people and AI agents operate together,” he said.

Rework said its inaugural Malaysia launch brought together about 150 senior business leaders, with the event featuring keynote sessions, product demonstrations and customer case studies.
