Police yesterday urged members of the public to assist them in identifying a silver Toyota Altis that was
stolen by a man who knocked down and dragged the owner for about 55m in Jalan Kapar, on Tuesday.
The car owner, Teoh Lay Moi, 52, later died at the Seri Kota Hospital at 8.20pm.
North Klang OCPD Supt Mohamad Shukor Sulong said anybody with information of the car or seen the registration plate (BKV 3882) can contact the nearest police station.
He had said that the stranger was with another man and the two of them were suspected to have been waiting in ambush for Teoh.
During the 7.15pm incident, the victim’s husband and son watched in horror as she was hit and dragged some 55m by her car seconds after it was hijacked by two men in front of their house in Jalan Kapar.
Teoh, a Finance Executive in a used car company was believed to have tried to prevent the suspects from hijacking her car at Jalan Kangar 92, Jalan Kapar.
