Police in Muar are seeking the cooperation of the public to help identify the remains of a man whose body was found in a bush near Parit Amal, Sri Tanjung last Saturday.

Muar police chief ACP Mohamad Nasir Ramli said the deceased, believed to have been murdered elsewhere and disposed off at the site, had dark complexion, was 1.74 metres tall and likely to be in his 20s.

The deceased only had  shorts on when found.

“He had injuries including on his neck, jaw and chest inflicted with a sharp object. We did not find any personal documents on him, we think he is a Muslim but not a Malaysian citizen,” he told reporters yesterday.
