The charitable ‘Ayam Brand’

This year forty welfare homes with a total populace of two thousand people will receive the canned foods for a duration of two months.

 

In fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities, A Clouet & Co (KL) Sdn. Bhd., a major canned foods manufacturer and the owner of the famous Ayam Brand, generously sponsored four months supply of canned foods to various welfare homes in Johor Bahru here.

The beneficiaries of the sponsored canned foods supply include the orphanage homes, single parents, the disabled, senior citizens homes and special and gifted children homes.

The company product manager, Khoo Wooi Ling said speaking when launching the company ‘Ayam Brand Caring Society’ state campaign here.

She added, since the company inaugural campaign launch in 2008, more than seven thousand individuals from one hundred and fifteen welfare homes have benefited from our initiatives.

“One of the main objective of the campaign is to enable inmates of the welfare homes to enjoy the nutritional values of our Ayam brand canned foods which comprised of tuna fish, mackerel and sardines with no added MSG and artificial colouring”, she said.

She further said, during the company campaign inaugural launch, the company distributed its canned foods to some twenty-one welfare homes located in Kelantan, Terengganu and Selangor.

Khoo later presented the company canned foods to four welfare homes representatives at Cheshire Home here, yesterday.

The four representatives are from the Rumah Darul Hanan, Persatuan Kebajikan Berkat Johor Bahru, Insan Gifted Welfare Organisation and the Johor Cheshire Home.

She said, the company is aware of the challenges faced by welfare homes in soliciting for fund to meet the food bills of its inmates, hence, he concluded by saying , the company decides to step forward to offer its contribution in lessening the welfare homes burdens.
