Maureen Guan a descendant of the baba-nyonya heritage, now the owner of Restoran Nyonya Makko told the Citizen Journalists Malaysia that they have been operating the food business since 1986 which was initiated by her mother who is now at her 90s and retired in Kuala Lumpur.

The restaurant is so well known that it attracts patrons from as far as Singapore.

During the weekends the shop services approximately 300 – 400 customers.
