PENANG – Penang Hindu Association (PHA) has buried or cremated exactly 500 unclaimed bodies from hospital mortuaries and nursing homes in Penang and Kedah over the past 27 years. [VIDEO]

Penang Hindu Association (PHA) has buried or cremated exactly 500 unclaimed bodies, including 10 HIV carriers, from hospital mortuaries and old folk’s homes in Penang and Kedah over the past 27 years.

So far, PHA has undertaken the voluntary work with money donated by citizens, businessmen and organisations.

Recently Citizen Journalists Malaysia (CJMY) met with PHA members at Penang GH Forensic Department, to observe how unclaimed bodies are handled.

They was at the mortuary around 11am to receive two unclaimed bodies of senior citizens.
