The Western’s side of Kota Kinabalu

This place is a hidden part of Kota Kinabalu, also the Western side of the city. It’s the waterfront facing Gaya and Munukan Islands. Seafood restaurant is just in front blocking the view from the main road.

Unfortunately, excitement and activities are only active at night.

Western food and drinks are in abundance. A few pubs can be found here. It’s a place for tourists to have hangover at night time. It closes at wee hour.

Formerly this place was a sea bed but reclaimed. It’s among the deepest spot of Kota Kinabalu seafront where the old jetty for download and upload of goods during the British era. Now all waterfront is changed into esplanade.

Kota KInbaalu is also known in the past as Jesselton and Api-Api
