2500 food items for frontline healthcare workers

SINGAPORE – four Singaporean enterprises will commit ​2,500 food items for lunch and dinner to frontline healthcare workers across the island to be distributed by Grab over the next four weeks

Gourmet Food Holdings, Zouk Group, Motherswork and Grab are joining forces in an initiative to support frontline healthcare workers during a critical period in Singapore’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The four Singaporean enterprises will commit ​2,500 food items for lunch and dinner to frontline healthcare workers across the island to be distributed by Grab over the next four weeks in April. 

With the challenges faced by F&B, retail and lifestyle operators during this period, these companies are banding together to pay a tribute to frontline healthcare professionals, in recognition of their selfless commitment towards the nation’s recovery from the virus outbreak.

Gourmet Food Holdings, an international F&B-focused investment firm which owns restaurants chains Tsuta and Mrs Pho, will donate 500 Vietnamese Pho from its Mrs Pho restaurant chain, and 500 rice sets from its Japanese Ramen restaurant chain, known as the World’s First Michelin Ramen restaurant by Chef Yuki Onishi.

Zouk Group is a global lifestyle company which runs the international burger chain Five Guys and RedTail within its F&B portfolio and will donate 500 burgers and 500 bowls of its signature porridge from RedTail.

While leading premium retailer of mother, baby and kids products in Singapore and China Motherswork will be serving up 500 packs of homemade cookies baked with love by its employees.

Sharon Wong, Chief Executive Officer, Motherswork, commented: “We are inspired to band together with our fellow F&B and retail operators to support these overworked healthcare workers after hearing about the difficulties they have experienced in gaining access to public transport and meal replenishments during this crunch time for healthcare institutions.”
